How we make water monitoring easier

Reliable data is essential for better environmental decisions, but traditional collection methods are often resource-intensive, slow, and difficult to scale. Accessing critical water quality and pollution data shouldn’t require boats, crew, or complex logistics.

That’s why we built Pamela – a compact surface vehicle designed to be launched from shore, operated remotely, and adapted to a range of scientific and operational needs. Whether sampling eDNA, detecting microplastics, or tracking temperature and salinity, Pamela provides a flexible, cost-effective alternative to manual fieldwork.

Remote operation made simple

How it works

Create a custom transect, deploy USV Pamela from a boat or pier, monitor position and sensor data in real time.

Who we are - Translating research into impact

USV Pamela was designed by Andrea Faltynkova, an analytical chemist specializing in marine pollution, and Artur Zolich, a cybernetics expert, to simplify water monitoring for non-technical users. USV Pamela was developed to meet the needs of researchers, and is built to deliver reliable data without the complexity.

We founded F & Z Solutions to make robotic platforms accessible to researchers, citizen scientists, and public agencies so we can improve data collection on critical environmental issues like microplastic pollution, biodiversity loss and water quality monitoring.
