FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

The pump has a dial with 3 different speed settings. The pumping speed for each position can be customized by connecting to the pump via bluetooth on a mobile phone or PC. In the application, the speed in rpm can be set for the physical dial's 3 positions.

If preffered, the pump can be operated directly from the app by selecting a speed between 10 and 400 rpm and starting the pump from the app. If using the app, you may also select a run time.

The pump comes with two batteries. One battery can run the pump continuously for 3 hours at max speed. With on and off use, 1-2 fully charged batteries should easily power a full field day of sampling.

The pump can be used both for suction and for pressure, and the programmable speeds make it compatible with a wide array of commercially available eDNA filters.

The pump is designed and built in Norway, so it was made with harsh weather in mind! The pump can operate in rain and handles splashes, but should not be submerged.

The pump head we use is manufactured by Runze Fluid and has the following recommendations for peristaltic tubing:

ID: 1.6-8.0mm, WT: 1.6-2.5mm, OD: ≤11.4mm

Further details can be found by downloading the user manual.

The pump itselft weighs 2.5kg. The transport case with the pump, 2 batteries and the charger weighs 7kg in total.

Feedback from our customers

Hear what our customers have to say about our eDNA pump!

Overall, extremely happy with the pump, a game changer in the field. Great to just leave it running and double heads so you can do replicates as well! Particularly appreciated the quietness of this pump and the fact that the batteries lasted a long time.
